Beautiful and Sustainable Design

The 21,242 SF Appaloosa library includes meeting rooms, cyber café and drive-up windows. In addition, there is a large shaded patio with tables and chairs for reading and a venue for entertainment. The entire reading area consists of a raised floor system with power and data distribution incorporated. Hardback reference materials merge with electronic data capabilities throughout the space. The facility enjoys a tremendous amount of natural daylight and automatically controlled artificial lighting is only used to supplement minimum foot-candle levels. The Scottsdale Appaloosa Library received LEED® Gold Certification.
